Heritage Works, Darwen - Cafe Refurbishment

This project involved the complete refurbishment of a fire damaged property in Darwen Town Centre under Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's Town Heritage Initiative Scheme (THI).

Works included a complete new roof, new single storey kitchen extension, new concrete floor, sandblasting to the internal beams and part of the exposed brickwork, repairs and re-pointing works to the external stonework using lime pointing, new timber floors, plastering, service lift installation, new Oak feature staircase, Oak internal doors, disabled WC, sliding sash-windows, underfloor heating system, decorating works, full electrical installation, aluminium entrance doors and a Karndean floor.
