W N Powell & Sons Ltd were successful in becoming the Local and National Winners in the Category of Small Renovation Projects in the Federation of Master Builders (FMB), Master Builder of the Year Awards for 2006.

W N Powell & Sons Ltd were chosen from hundreds of entries in the fiercely contested Federation of Master Builders, Master Builder of the Year Awards for the sympathetic restoration of a 17th century Grade II listed cottage in Wycoller, nr Colne, Lancashire.

This project involved the complete refurbishment of a Grade II listed building including re-roofing with stone slates, new internal stud walls, re-plastering through out the building, new bathroom suites, Oak internal doors, Oak staircase, Oak windows, new kitchen, re-wiring and a new oil-fired heating system.
